1. Brief introduction

 

A furnace combustion system is an industrial apparatus designed for controlled burning of fuels (such as gas, oil, or solid materials) to generate heat for processes like material heating or melting, primarily through direct or indirect flame interaction‌. It achieves high thermal efficiency by optimizing fuel-air mixing and heat transfer mechanisms‌.

 

The process of reaction is the oxidation reaction between fuel and combustion air, which will be finished instantaneously. The other two processes take a longer time. The fuel process and flame characteristic are determined by the mixing process, which is also determined by the temperature distribution and process requirement of the furnace.

 

No matter gas combustion or oil combustion, when the fuel goes into the combustion room, the fuel combustion process can be divided into three basic ones:

 

  • Fuel mixes with combustion air.
  • The temperature of mixture of fuel and combustion air raises up to ignition point.
  • The mixture of fuel and combustion air begin to fire.
